James, 13, joined recreational football last year and immediately
fell in love with the sport. He literally counted months,
weeks then days till he was back on the field again. He
looked forward to playing again like another child would
look forward to Christmas. But as this year's season started,
he was tackled from behind and his enthusiasm for the sport
was dwindling fast. By the Friday of the second week of
practices, the pain in his back was so bad he limped off
the field at the end of the night. This made him and I seriously
question his ability to remain in the football program.
On the advice of a friend, I took him to see Dr. Mike. That
Saturday Dr. Mike discovered that James' pelvis was out
of line. After his adjustment, James felt like his old self,
had no pain, and walked out of the office minus the limp
and with a huge smile on his face. His gait, flexibility,
and his balance have improved tremendously, making him a
better player. I would recommend Dr. Mike to any parent,
especially those who's children are participating in extreme
sports.

Susan, Thank you so much for referring James to Dr. Mike.
He's great!! He convinced me to lay down and adjusted my
back & hip and honestly I've got to tell you I feel
20 years younger!! He said I may (no guarantee) be able
to postpone my hip surgery. After one visit I think he may
be right. James feels like his old self again. His pelvis
is out of line, but after his adjustment he walked out of
that office totally different than how he walked in. I'm
so happy I had the sense to have someone recommend someone
good.
--Thanks again, Cathy

Dear Dr. Michael, It is with sincere gratitude & appreciation
that I write this letter to you. I have been receiving chiropractic
adjustments for the past 13 years since my first car accident.
Through all of my discomforts, chiropractic was the only
thing that truly helped to give me relief. Since my first
adjustment, my 3 children have been adjusted from as young
as 3 weeks old. People don't realize the physical stress
an infant endures just through the birth canal! They need
a serious adjustment after birth! I myself have had many
physical challenges over the last few years and am so grateful
for chiropractic, but especially grateful to have you as
our doctor. Not only are you extremely accomodating to us
always, but I know in your heart you truly care about my
well-being and that of my children. I know if I'm having
a really bad day, I can come in there and leave feeling
physically relieved, but I also leave feeling mentally relieved
... and that's because you take so much time & care
with your patients, they're not just your patients, they're
your extended family. You're always ready to provide quality
care, a shoulder to lean on, & a hug if needed, always
encouraging us to come back soon. Thank you Michael, for
not only being our doctor, but for being someone I know
I can come to and who I'm proud to call my friend.
-- Sincerely, Lori Lapata

My back went out just after Christmas. This time I wanted
to try a method other than the orthopedic doctor's standard
one month in bed doped up with pain killers and muscle relaxants.
I tried an osteopathic doctor. For two months I went twice
a week for heat treatments and adjustments. I was no better.
I could only sit up for 10 minutes with a footstool, then
it was back to laying on the floor. My face was constantly
pinched with pain. I asked around for another method and
finally found Howard Cantor, Chiropractor. After x-rays,
Dr. Cantor suggested three visits a week and at home wet
towel heat treatments. Within three weeks I was out of severe
pain. I was sitting up for long periods, and actually standing
and walking again. Soon I was driving myself to Dr. Cantor's
office (the car had previously been a torture chamber).
This happened twelve years ago. Whenever my back goes out
now, Dr. Cantor has me up again in one week. Chiropractic
is the only way to go!

After spending 7 weeks at a local hospital, for therapy
and in traction, I was advised that spinal surgery was necessary,
to remove two discs and to fuse the spine. As a last resort,
my wife suggested I try Chiropractic. After receiving adjustments
for three days, I was back at work and on a maintenance
program with my chiropractor. After 25 years I have never
had another back problem, nor did I have to undergo surgery.

Many years and tears had gone by, suffering from severe
headaches ... dizzy, no balance at times for as much as
two weeks. Then one day my back gave out (or up). Suffering
for one week and not being able to walk, I called (Mark
& Howard). They worked 3-5 times a week to ease the
pain. Now I went from migraines 6 days a week ... to the
last time I had a full blown migraine is 2 years ago. My
life would have no physical value, I would probably be in
a wheelchair & neck brace if it had not been for the
excellent care and conern by Howard & Mark & now
Mike and the pleasant staff at Cantor Chiropractic ....

I woke up one morning and couldn't bend over to put on
my socks & shoes. This wasn't the first time this has
happened to me. In the past, I would go to my doctor, who
in turn would have me go to therapy 3 times a week, until
it got better, the back that is. I said to myself, "enough
is enough," so I went to Cantor Chiropractic. By that night
I was able to bend over, and move quite freely of pain.
So I started going to the chiropractor once or twice a week.
Since I've been going to the chiropractor, I've been relieved
of back pain, I don't get colds or sick anymore. I used
to get the flu at least once a year, but not since I started
seeing the chiropractor. So in general going to the chiropractor
is one of the smartest moves I've made in a long time. So
I am very grateful to the Cantor Chiropractic Center, and
I will continue to see the chiropractor until death do I
part. Again I just want to say thanks to the people of the
Cantor Chiropractic Center.

After 2 hospitalizations for "a back problem" and suggestions
of surgery, I told my medical doctor that a friend has recommended
her chiropractor and I was interested. He said he "thought
we might go that way." And a nurse for the physical therapist
treating me had said that she wished that nurses and doctors
were trained in chiropractic (the treatment of hot-packs
that I was getting was comforting, but wore off soon after
I returned home). Not long afterward as I reached to close
my car door, my back struck back. I knew my medical doctor
was away and the the chiropractor I had recently contacted
was near, so I drove with difficulty and great pain to Cantor
Chiropractic Center. I bent my way into his office looking
rather like a hair pin, I'm sure, and most likely complaining
that death was near. In less time than it probably takes
you to read this, I walked out the door, smiling and upright.
Now I go regularly for health maintenance. I teach swimming
& diving, hike and camp, all things I used to do and
begun to give up as I was "too busy" working. And I eat
more wisely. After a few years, x-rays show that the problem
(osteoporosis) noted by my medical doctor has actually been
reversed. Good chiropractic care keeps me fit, and when
I go for a physical exam my medical doctor, looking at the
results of the various tests says, "I can't believe you're
over 55." I am 75.

Since 1981 I had suffered from regularly occurring headaches,
neck, shoulder and chest pains. A trip to the doctor's office
and quite a few tests revealed nothing wrong. The doctor
felt my symptoms were due to everyday stresses. A co-worker
recommended that I try chiropractic. I went and found some
relief. At that time it was discovered that I had a condition
known as "TMJ." A desntist suggested orthodontic correction
to reduce or possibly eliminate my neck, shoulder and headache
symptoms. I underwent orthodontic treatment and it did help
my symptoms but it did not elimnate them. Then I heard about
Doctor Cantor, his affordable fees and his theory of regular
chiropractic adjustments. IN 1993 I visited Doctor Cantor's
office and he put me on my own wellness schedule to correct
subluzations that were in my neck and upper back. It took
time but today I rarely ever suffer from headaches, neck,
shoulder and chest pains. Chiropractic has become a regular
part of my stay-well program. In fact I am convinced that
chiropractic is part of a healthy lifestyle that my husband
and children are also on a chiropractic wellness schedule.
