Healthy Chocolate Pudding
When my clients are struggling with sugar cravings, I work with them to identify and heal the underlying cause of the craving. I also suggest that they upgrade their sweet treats. I was so excited when I found the below recipe for raw chocolate pudding as sometimes I need a healthy sweet treat too!
This healthy recipe is a great example of what you can learn in my upcoming Women’s Wellness Club, starting in September.
Avocadoes are an excellent source of healthy fat. We all need fat so don’t be afraid of it! The creamy texture and deep chocolate-y taste of this pudding had me oohing and aahing with pleasure!
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: None!
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 3 avocadoes
- 6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa/cacao powder (i.e. Dagoba Organic Cacao Powder ) http://www.amazon.com/Dagoba-Organic-Chocolate-Certified-Powder/dp/B001K2HWNU
- ¼ cup raw honey (look for it at your local farmers’ market)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Sea salt
Directions
- Puree avocadoes, cocoa powder, honey, and vanilla in a food processor until smooth. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides a few times.
- Sprinkle pudding with salt before serving.
